The Story of Encounter

On March 22, 2015, Encounter Church was planted in Mission Viejo, California! Encounter Church exists to invite people to be encounter a life-changing God and passionate followers of Christ. Our desire is to see genuine encounters with the living God that lead to radically transformed lives – lives that are marked by the fruits of the Spirit.

God’s plan is to advance his Kingdom through the local church. Nearly 80% of Mission Viejo citizens are not actively involved in church, meaning more than 80,000 people have yet to be reached in our local community. God has given us a clear vision for the city of Mission Viejo to minister to families, schools and through music. We are following through on this vision of service and ministry by starting at the school we meet at weekly, Philip Reilly Elementary School.

We believe God wants to use Encounter Church in all three areas to impact Mission Viejo, Orange County, and the world. To see this vision fulfilled will require commitment from a broad range of followers of Jesus and we invite you to join us. God is so good and big! HE is able to accomplish more than we could ever ask or hope!
